Perfect Is The Enemy Of Good

I’m gonna put this up just about as barebones as it gets, just to make sure that everything works for export.

I don’t want to get us snagged in getting thing right over getting them done. This is a blog for the people in this skull, nothing mission critical.

Tools

I’m using Powerpack as my static site builder, but it is very much not batteries included, so I’ll be crafting the templates, code and layout. (Powerpack handles the plumbing, and that’s about it.)

For layering of functionality, I’m using Sieppari. I have grown to love Interceptors.

I’m going to try and limit the amount of CSS frameworks and so on I pull in. Do it myself preferentially, figure some shit out.

I will say that the loose style allowed by NeoCities is strange. Used to having track everything in version control, because the site is built by CI. Still trying to keep some of the advantages of that rigour without getting bogged down in it.

Styling

Probably gonna aim for a kinda rustic, typewritery vibe. I’m (ab)using tinted themes for my colors.
